The MidAtlantic Employers' Association (MEA) is a proactive and dynamic organization. MEA has been the premier choice of employers for services to build superior employer-employee relations for over a century. Since its inception in 1903, MEA has grown and expanded to meet the changing needs of employers and currently provides services to over 800 member companies.

MEA's primary mission is to provide high quality information, advice and services to employers in the areas of human resources management and operational effectiveness. With a team of over 40 highly qualified professionals able to respond to the workplace needs of any employer. Our commitment is to provide the information, training or help that you need quickly and accurately.

Our resource areas include:
Human Resources -
our HR experts can assist you with all issues related to employer employee relations from employee handbooks to recruitment and background/reference checking to compensation programs, performance management services, and employee opinion surveys.

Training and Development - Comprehensive offerings of public seminars to train and develop your employees. We also provide customized on-site training, certificate series, in several disciplines, briefings and seminars, and executive level roundtables.

Employee Benefits - An extensive benefits programs focused on administration of group benefits, medical plans, workers' compensation, insurance, 401K and benefit audits. Our expert staff can also provide advice to employers regarding their benefits plans. MEA also can provide access to a credit union for your employees.

Compensation - MEA conducts annual wage and salary information surveys compiled from member companies in the MidAtlantic region, as well as customized surveys for individual companies, national compensation surveys, health care surveys, and compensation benefits and policies surveys.

Compliance and Publications - We publish informational publications, such as Federal and State Employers Guides to Laws and Regulations, our HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act) Guide, Family Medical Leave Act Compliance Guide, and Federal and State Employment Law posters.

Safety - A complete scope of assistance and training in the areas of environmental, health and safety to satisfy OSHA and other regulatory organizations. Compliance audits and assessments can also be administered by MEA.

Quality and Productivity - MEA provides training in continuous improvement, process mapping and quality. Training around ISO requirements for certification is another MEA expertise.

Companies that choose to become members of MEA are entitled to certain benefits at no cost and discounts on the services provided by MEA. Non-member companies are welcome to purchase services and participate in programs at a non-member rate.
